Harold Wayne White
December 3, 1958 – May 9, 2026
Harold Wayne White, a devoted husband, father, and "Pawpaw” to his beloved grandchildren, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, at the age of 67.
A lifelong Texan, Wayne was born on December 3, 1958, in Dallas to William Harold and Ivy Belle (Lindley) White. He married the love of his life, Debbie Gibbons, on July 2, 1977. Together, they built a life defined by loyalty, laughter, and a profound commitment to their family and faith.
Wayne’s work ethic was legendary. He dedicated 50 years of service to Coca-Cola, a career that spanned from his youth to his well-earned retirement. Never one to stay idle, he continued to stay busy working for Ken’s Heating and Air Conditioning. Beyond his professional life, Wayne’s true legacy lay in his service to others; he spent over 20 years mentoring and guiding young people through his involvement in youth group ministry.
While he was a hard worker and a mentor, Wayne’s greatest joy was found at home. He was his grandchildren’s biggest fan, and they were the light of his life. Whether he was attending their events or simply enjoying their company, every moment spent with them was his "main passion." He also leaves behind his faithful companion, his fur baby, Sassy.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 49 years, Debbie White; his children, Shannon Hicks and her husband Matt, and Chuck White and his wife Jennifer; his sister, Dora White; and his five cherished grandchildren: Maeanna Ivy White, Gavin Christopher Blake White, Brynn Lanae Edwards, Abby Lou Coppedge, and Taylor Rene Coppedge. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lou Beth Fikes.
