Funeral mass for Teresa Martinez Brena, age 66, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at St. James Catholic Church with Father Victor Hernandez officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Teresa passed away on October 1, 2022, at Christus Mother Frances Hospital. She was born on June 17, 1956, in El Vicario, GTO, Mexico, the daughter of Jose Martinez and Cevera Nunez. She married Roberto Brena on July 19, 1987, in Apaseo, El Grande, GTO, Mexico. She is survived by husband, Roberto Brena of Sulphur Springs, daughters, Teresita Velasques and husband Adrian of Wylie, Blanca Brena of Sulphur Springs, brothers, Gonzalo Martinez of Sialo, GTO, Mexico, Martin Martinez of El Vicario, GTO, Mexico, Juan Carlos Martinez of Mt. Pleasant, sisters, Carmela Dominguez of Mt. Pleasant, Petra Sanchez of Sulphur Springs, Justa Martinez of Mt. Pleasant, grandchildren, Genesis and Adrian Valasquez, and numerous nieces and nephews.
