Sue J. Morris

Sue J. Morris passed away at her residence in Mesquite, Texas on May 15, 2024. She was born on November 16, 1932 in Miller Grove, Texas to Virgil and Lerline Johnson. Sue and her daughter, Lynne led drill teams for Mesquite football teams in the 1970’s.

She is survived by her brother, Jim Johnson; her son, Jay Morris and his wife, Veronique; grandchildren, Samantha Morris (daughter of Jay and Veronique Morris) and Zachary Peal (son of Lynne Morris-Peal and David Peal); niece Sue Holden and nephew Steve Johnson.

Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dean Morris; her parents, Virgil and Lerline Johnson; daughter, Lynne Morris-Peal and her sister-in-law, Ruth Johnson.

A committal service will be held at a later date.
