Sherri Louise (Tosh) Grimes

Funeral services for Sherri Louise Tosh Grimes, age 80, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 11, 2021 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with James Sonnen officiating. Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers and her great-grandsons serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., prior to service time. Sherri passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Hopkins Place Assisted Living. She was born on September 18, 1940 in Amarillo, TX, the daughter of Tom and Ruth Louise Marshall Tosh. She was a homemaker and worked as a beautician and cosmetologist for many years. She married Wendell Chancy Grimes on March 1, 1958 in Clovis, NM. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2018. She is survived by daughters, Kelly Doyle and husband Mark of Sulphur Springs, Kim Potts and husband Doyle of Sulphur Springs and son, Wendell C. Grimes and wife Shelly of Sulphur Springs, brother, Ron Tosh and wife Letha of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Chaney, Chase, Ryan, Adam, Hope, Hunter, Bailey, Kaitlyn, and Charleigh, and great-grandchildren, Camden, Britten, Lunden, Romen, Allison, Julia, Anderson, Aiken, Gus, Avery, Dallas, Landry, Allie, and Harvey. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and mother and father-in-law Chancy and Velma Grimes. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
