Funeral Service for Sarah Katherine Emerson, age 75, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025, at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charlie Sickles officiating. Mark Evans, Colton Emerson, Dakota Emerson, Tony Hurley, Jay Price, Sammy Weaver, and Jackson Green will be serving as pallbearers. Kat passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, in Paris, Texas.

Kat was born on July 24, 1949, to Clarence and Doris Landrith Mitchell in Clarksville, Texas. She married Jimmie Emerson on June 1, 1968. They had a love like no other for 56 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cross stitching, cooking for her family, especially chicken and dumplings for her son-in- law, had an amazing love for her Lord and adored spending time with her family. She had a special place in her heart and adored her grandson, Jackson. Kat worked for Sulphur Springs State Bank for many years from there was a bookkeeper for Regal Office Supply until she retired to keep her only grandson.

She is survived by her husband Jimmie Emerson. Daughter, Lori Green and her husband, Johnny of Reno, Texas; sister, JoAnn Evans and her husband, Larry of Bagota, Texas; grandson, Jackson Green. Mark Evan Nephew, and wife Tonya of Pryor, Oklahoma.

Kat was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Doris Mitchell.
