Russell "RD" Irvin Davis

Memorial Service for Russell Irvin Davis “RD”, age 79, of Cumby, TX will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Community Lighthouse Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Ratliff officiating. Russell passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on March 11, 2024.

Russell was born on March 20, 1944 in Plainview, TX to Joseph and Bonnie Davis. He graduated from Lockney High School in 1963. Russell married the love of his life, Carol Collis on January 27, 1967 in Aiken, TX. He was very proud to have served in the United States Army and to be a Vietnam Veteran. Russell adored spending time with his family especially those grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Davis; daughter, Amy Goode and her husband, William; grandchildren, Brooke Goode, Glen Goode and his wife, Blayne, Danielle Goode and Robert Goode; great-grandchildren, Braxton Williams, Haynzlee Williams, Weston Goode and Addison Caldwell.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Bonnie Davis, one brother, Joe E. Davis and one sister, Innettia Moore.
