Roxanne Kay “Kookie” Harris passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022. She was born on September 25, 1941, in Northville, MI, the daughter of Thomas Richardson and Myrtle Pearl. Her family moved to El Cajon, CA, where she grew up. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 35 years, Mark W. Harris. She is survived by brother Thomas “Tommy” Richardson of Uncasville, CT, her sister Linda Smith and husband Paul of El Cajon, CA, and daughter Tami Armstrong and husband Dean of Sulphur Springs, TX, three step-children Steve Harris of Shiloh, IL, Peter Harris of Madawaska, ME, and Victoria Maurer of Rapid City, SD; her grandchildren, Timothy Ansley and wife Alysha, Jonathan Ansley and girlfriend Cassidy Foster, Ryan Armstrong all of Sulphur Springs, Zakary and Samantha Harris of Shiloh, IL, Tyler and Alana of FL, Ezra Harris of Madawaska, ME, Emily and Jamie Maurer of Rapid City, SD, Veronica Conner and husband Bill of Irving, TX; and 12 great-grandchildren. Kookie (as most of her family called her) worked as a convenience clerk for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters Judith Nutt, Darlene Franklin, Connie Pillow, and one brother Dale Richardson and a grandson Spencer Armstrong.
