Roland Keith Spivey was born on March 14, 1966, to the parentage of Jeff Spivey, Sr. and Bobbie Ann Roland. He transitioned peacefully from this life to his heavenly home on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
He was a member of the Arbala Road Church of Christ and later united with MLK Church of Christ in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
He acquired the nickname “Hootus” from his grandfather James Roland aka Uncle Hootus. He graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1984. He loved baseball which he played throughout his High School years. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
He was employed by Transgesa Trucking Company in Irving, Texas.
Roland Keith was united in marriage twice to Barbara Timmons (deceased). He married Camille Wade and to this union twin sons were born: Justin Roland Spivey and Jordan Keith Spivey.
He leaves to cherish his memories: fiancée Brenda Rollison of Sulphur Springs, sons: Justin Spivey of Leander, Texas and Jordan Spivey of Killeen, Texas. Brothers: Sherby Spivey (Glenda) of Cedar Park, Texas; Chris Spivey (Ann) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; Jeff Spivey, Jr. of Houston, Texas and Robert Askew of Sulphur Springs, Texas. Sister: Sequita Mosley (Anthony) Sulphur Springs, Texas. Sister-in-law; Jacqueline Kennedy Spivey of Sulphur Springs, Texas. Bonus children: Tedrick Timmons of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Allisiana Davis and Payton Tilley of Austin, Texas. Grandchildren: Ashleigh, Jadyne, and Christin Timmons and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Jeff Spivey, Sr.; Charles Askew, Sr. and Bobbie Ann Roland-Askew; Grandparents: James and Irene Roland; Pink Spivey and Annie Mae English; Brothers: Rickey Spivey and Charles Askew, Jr., and Sister Victoria Owusu and Brother-in-Law Yaw Owusu.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
