The Story of Rebecca
Rebecca Reed was born August 20, 1953, in McKinney, Texas, to Thomas and Janell Baisden. Surrounded by family, she peacefully went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2026. For 40 plus years, Rebecca poured her heart and energy into building a life and career in the metal recycling business. She spent those decades working side-by-side with her husband and best friend, Richard Reed, creating a lasting legacy through their shared hard work and dedication. Outside of work, she knew how to find joy and bring people together. She loved the excitement of traveling to casinos across Las Vegas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Oklahoma, where she always enjoyed pushing the buttons on the slot machines. At home, she was a passionate cook who loved hosting holiday get-togethers, filling the house with delicious food, laughter, and warmth for her family. Above all else, her greatest happiness came from spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved fiercely. Her generous spirit and bright energy leaves an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew her. Becky and Richard loved the Lord and were baptized at the Church of Christ in Saltillo, Texas.
