Phillip Lee Williams

Phillip Lee Williams, of Greenville, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2026, as the result of a tragic automobile accident. He was born on May 25, 1976, in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

Phillip's passing came exactly eight months after the loss of his beloved mother, Rhonda Williams, who also passed away in a tragic automobile accident. Though his family has endured unimaginable loss, they find comfort in knowing Phillip and mom are together again.

Phillip was preceded in death by his mother, Rhonda Williams; his paternal grandparents, John and Georgia Williams; and his maternal grandparents, Verdis Tully and Dovie Lee Broughton Tully.

Phillip is survived by his beloved wife, Amy Williams; his father, James P. Williams; his sisters, Kristy Williams and Amandia Williams Turner and her husband, Shaun Turner; his brother, Jimmy J. Williams and his wife, Corrie Williams; his nieces, Destyne K. Williams and Precious Williams; his nephews, Kayson D. Williams, Payton J. Turner, Dusty D. Turner, and Riland P. Williams; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Phillip was a loving husband, son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend who brought laughter and joy to the lives of those around him. He was a man of unwavering faith who loved listening to Christian music and found comfort, peace, and strength through his relationship with God.

Phillip proudly served his community as a Correctional Officer with the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office, Parker County Sheriff's Office, and Tarrant County Sheriff's Office. Throughout his career in law enforcement, he dedicated himself to serving others and protecting his community. He rose to the rank of Corporal, a reflection of his commitment, leadership, and dedication to the profession he loved.

Phillip was known by many for his stubborn personality, his generous heart, and his unforgettable sense of humor. He was a true prankster, and everyone who knew him understood they had to stay on their toes because they never knew when they might become the next victim of one of his hilarious jokes. His laughter, quick wit, and ability to make people smile created memories that will be treasured forever.

Above all else, Phillip loved his family deeply and cherished every moment spent making memories with those closest to him. He especially enjoyed traveling with his wife, Amy, creating adventures and sharing life's special moments together. Amy described Phillip as the love of her life and the most caring husband she could have ever asked for. Their love and the bond they shared were among the greatest blessings of Phillip's life.

Phillip also loved spending time playing cards with family and friends. He was known as the best Spades partner anyone could ask for and enjoyed the friendly competition of home poker games and trying his luck at blackjack in the casino. Whether he was gathered around a card table or simply enjoying time with loved ones, Phillip had a remarkable way of making every moment memorable.

Phillip's laughter, kindness, faith, and love for his family will be missed beyond words. Although his life was taken far too soon, the memories he created, the jokes he shared, and the love he gave will continue to live on through everyone who was blessed to know him. His family finds comfort in knowing that Phillip is no longer suffering and has been reunited with his beloved mother, Rhonda, where they are together again in eternal peace.

A memorial service honoring Phillip's life will be held at West Oaks Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs, Texas. The date and time will be announced at a later time.

The Williams family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, love, support, and encouragement during this unimaginable time. Your kindness has been a source of strength and comfort and will never be forgotten.
