Peggy Jo (Cates) Walker

Graveside services for Peggy Jo Walker, age 76, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Greenview Cemetery with Bro. Hoyt Scoggins officiating.  Pallbearers will be Grant Looney, Lance Looney, Jay Porterfield, Gary McFadden, Brad McFadden, and Cary McFadden.  Peggy passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at her home.  Peggy was born on October 29, 1944, in Winnsboro, TX, the daughter of John Lewis Cates and Ruby Doris Knotts Cates.  She married Buddy Walker on August 8, 1964, in Sulphur Springs and he survives. Peggy worked as an account representative at City National Bank before she retired.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Key Walker and wife Holly of Greenville, TX, grandchildren, Reese Walker, Sydney Walker, Jaxey Walker, and Jude Walker.  She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Kelly Anne Walker Jones.  Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home. www.westoaksfuneralhome.com
