Patricia Ann (Hargrave) Courson

Graveside services for Patricia Ann Courson, age 78, of Moody, TX, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Pine Forest Cemetery with Gary O’Neal officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Patricia passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Providence Hospital in Waco, TX. She was born on December 6, 1941 in Houston, TX, the daughter of Willis and Annie Hargrave. Patricia married Charles Ray Courson on May 5, 1956 in Houston, TX. Charles Ray and Patricia retired from Houston and Spring, TX and then moved to his childhood home of Saltillo. While living in Saltillo, she was a member of Central Baptist Church of Sulphur Springs. After his death in 2007, Patricia moved to Moody, TX to be close to her daughter Lisa. There she was a member of the First Baptist Church. Patricia was a homemaker and enjoyed her hobbies of stain glass, floral arrangements, and cooking. She was also a very talented seamstress. She is survived by daughter, Lisa Courson O’Neal and husband Gary of Moody, TX, grandchildren, Ryan and Jocelyn O’Neal, Jared and Devan O’Neal, great-grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth, Annabeth, Asa, Cross, and Reese, brother, Willis Hargrave and wife Dana of Alto, TX, sister-in-law, Margaret Hargrave, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers, Jimmy and David Hargrave, and sisters, Helen Brumley and Judy Parks.
