Memorial Service for Norman Scott Morris will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at West Oaks Funeral Home with Deacon Jerry Beezy officiating. Norman passed away on August 10, 2025, in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Norman was born on December 18, 1938, to William Morris and Leta Saunders Morris in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He grew up in Sulphur Springs, Lindale, and Lubbock area. Norman served in the National Guard and then got his master’s at Texas Tech. He was a Mathematician for NASA from 1962 – 2004, he also was a professor at The University of Houston, San Jacinto Community College, and Alvin Community College. Norman loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, William Morris and his wife, Kathy, and Joseph Morris and his wife, Renate; daughter, Linda Kasparek; one sister, Linda Johnston and her husband, Tommy; grandchildren, Matthew Morris, Eva Morris, Jana Morris, Erika Morris, Alex Kasparek, Cathrine Kasparek, Madison Prince, and Melianna Black; great-grandchildren, Hudson, Jesse, Mia, and Luca.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, William, and Leta Morris; brothers, Dennis, and Jimmy Morris, and one granddaughter, Heather Morris.
