Naomi Faye Davis

Funeral services for Naomi Faye Davis, age 84, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at West Oaks Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Vincent officiating and Rickie Daniels assisting.  Interment will follow at Rockdale Cemetery with Erick Alward, Danny Davis, Casey Lester, Stormy Rasberry, Tanner Park, and Chase Davis serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tanner Tate, Russel Ince, Rhylon Lester, Sawyer Ince, and Bentley Lester. There will be no formal visitation. Naomi passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023, at her home. Naomi was born on August 22, 1938, in Navaro County, TX, the daughter of Alvis Wood and Trudy Plunkett Wood. She married Al Davis on February 28, 1970, in Houston, TX, he survives. Naomi cared for other people and loved serving the Lord. She was a talented artist, an excellent cook, and an avid gardener. She was a member of Faith Fellowship. In addition to her husband, Al, she is survived by sons, Danny Davis and wife Stacy of Sulphur Springs, Barroon Wiggins and wife Christina of Leona, TX, daughters, Theresa Rogers of Houston, TX, Shawn Vincent and husband Jerry of Karnack, TX, son-in-law, Erick Alward of Houston, TX, brother, Johnny Wood and wife Jerri of Houston, TX, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Cheryl Alward, Debrah Gay Wolf, brothers, Cecil Wood, Delmer Wood, and sister, Billie Joyce Tibbs.
