Michael "Mike" Galvan

Funeral Mass of Christian burial for Michael “Mike” Galvan, age 43, of Dike, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 21, 2023, at St. James Catholic Church with Father Victor Hernandez officiating.  Interment will follow at Richland Cemetery with Gabriel Galvan, Eduardo Castaneda, Devin Castaneda, Jose Martinez, Andrew Morales, and Horacio Hernandez serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 with Rosary at 7:00 on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at West Oaks Funeral Home.   Mike was born on September 16, 1979, in Pittsburg, TX, the son of Jose Juan Galvan and Emilia Hernandez Galvan. Mike graduated with an Associate degree from Lee College and also received both Business Management and Micro Computer Application. He had many years of experience as a waiter and was currently employed at Romas. Mike was a Cowboys’ fanatic and loved each and every one of his nieces and his nephew.  He is survived by his parents, brother, Gabriel Galvan, sisters, Maria Mejia and husband Rogelio, Laura Galvan, Veronica Castaneda and husband Eduardo, and Brenda Galvan, maternal Grandmother, Consuelo Vallez, 12 nieces and 1 nephew.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Moises Galvan.  Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home. www.westoaksfuneralhome.com

La misa fúnebre del entierro cristiano de Michael “Mike” Galván, de 43 años, de Dike, se llevará a cabo a la 1:00 p. m., el viernes 21 de abril de 2023, en la iglesia católica St. James, oficiando el padre Víctor Hernández. El entierro seguirá en el cementerio de Richland con Gabriel Galván, Eduardo Castaneda, Devin Castaneda, José Martínez, Andrew Morales y Horacio Hernández sirviendo como portadores del féretro. El velorio se llevará a cabo de 6:00 a 8:00 con rosario a las 7:00 el jueves 20 de abril de 2023 en West Oaks Funeral Home. Mike nació el 16 de septiembre de 1979 en Pittsburg, TX, hijo de José Juan Galván y Emilia Hernández Galván. Mike se graduó con un título de asociado de Lee College y también recibió administración de empresas y aplicaciones de microcomputadoras. Tenía muchos años de experiencia como mesero y actualmente trabajaba en Romas. Mike era un fanático de los Cowboys y amaba a todas y cada una de sus sobrinas y su sobrino. Le sobreviven sus padres, hermano, Gabriel Galván, hermanas, María Mejía y esposo Rogelio, Laura Galván, Verónica Castañeda y esposo Eduardo, y Brenda Galván, abuela materna, Consuelo Vallez, 12 sobrinas y 1 sobrino.
