Graveside services for Marvin Santford Jones, age 94, and Mary Louise Price Jones, age 93, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Restlawn Memorial Park with Bro. Joe Clark officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mrs. Louise entered glory on Friday, November 24, 2023 and Big Marvin followed shortly behind as he entered the gates on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Marvin was born on September 3, 1929 in Sulphur Springs the son of Samuel Sanford Jones and Martha Eula Jones. Louise was born on August 31, 1930 in Sanger, TX the daughter of Henry Jackson Price and Bessie Mae Johnson Price. They were married 76 years and did life together and now they are walking the streets of Heaven hand in hand. They will be deeply missed, the gardens in Heaven gained a master gardener and those cattle on the thousand hills “Sold” how many times we heard that last statement from Big Marvin. They are survived by their children, Marvin Wayne Jones of Amarillo, TX, James Jones and wife Suzie of Sulphur Springs and Jackie Jones and wife Sandra of Brashear, Marvin’s brother, Billy Gene Jones and wife Ann of North Richland Hills and Louise’s sister, Patricia Reed and husband Larry of Stanford, TX, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. They were preceded in death by their parents, Louise was also preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
