On October 28th, 2024, my husband and father, Malcolm “Mac” Wayne Sanford went home to be with the Lord. He was born on December 31, 1946 in Birmingham, Alabama the son of Clarence and Elizabeth Bennett Sanford. He married Cindy Keeney Lennox on January 20, 1995 in Burleson, Texas and she survives. He is also survived by his children, Mark Sanford and wife Shelley, Amy Dunn and husband Brad, Stacy Osborne and husband David, Danny Lennox, and Brad Lennox and wife Regina. His brother and sisters, Ricky Sanford, Edith Cleveland and husband John and Charlotte Toothman, sister-in-laws, Barbara Sanford and Darlinda Williams, and mother-in-law, Glenedene Nelson. He was the grandfather of 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mac served in the United States Army and worked for General Motors for 48 years. He was loved by many and especially his family. Mac had many hobbies which included golf, painting and wood working. He enjoyed working with his hands loved dancing. He enjoyed country music and western movies. He loved his family and friends very much and would do anything to help anybody. He enjoyed talking to people telling them stories and jokes. He was a real cut up. He was very knowledgeable about all kinds of cars and would share his knowledge with them. Mac was preceded in death by his parents, son, Greg Sanford, daughter, Tracy Sanford, brothers, Eddie and Pete Sanford. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2024 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2024 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home. www.westoaksfuneralhome.com
