She was the eldest of six children raised by her mother Emma (Sidell) and step-father Louie B. Ray. As the top graduate of her high-school class, she loved reading, studying, and teaching God’s word to others. On March 29, 1952 she married Allen (Bo) Hollins, Jr. and from this union six of their own children were born. Mr. and Mrs. Hollins had beautiful singing voices and were talented musicians. Gifts they shared with their children, and as a family utilized as praise and worship leaders at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Newsome, TX before and after moving to Como, TX where they owned and operated their dairy farm until retirement. With Mrs. Hollins serving as office manager and bookeeper. Lovingly called “Mommy M” by her grandchildren. Mrs. Hollins was an example of regal fortitude, believed in unwavering self-respect and loved and protected her family with blind allegiance. Like her husband Mrs. Hollins was a member of the Prince Hall affiliation family. Who served her community as a member of the Order of Eastern. She was greeted in glory by her husband Bo, sons Charles, Timothy, Vickey, granddaughter Delecia, siblings Christell, Thelma, and Lurine, niece Renee. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters Linda, Cynthia, Joyce, grandchildren Stephanie, Ayana, AllenLynn, Nakita, Jaylah, and Heaven. Her great-grandchildren, and beloved nieces and nephews.
