Leon Wilkerson

Funeral services for Leon Wilkerson, age 68, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 31, 2021, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Willis Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with DaKieston Mosley, Dequavan Mosley, Daymon Nash, Kendrick Mosley, and Oscar Thomas serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamarian Ford, Jakarian Ford, Douglas Delone, and Jarvis Harris. There will be no formal visitation. Leon passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at his residence. He was born on September 19, 1953, in Sulphur Springs, the son of Hubert Wilkerson and Gladys M. Thomas Wilkerson. He worked at Bell Concrete for many years, then went on to work as a custodian at the hospital. He is survived by his mother, brothers, Darrell Wilkerson, Harrell Wilkerson, sister, Hilda Ford and husband Leroy of Como, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
