Lavanna Beth Eppars

Graveside Services for Lavanna Beth Eppars, age 67, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Shooks Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at West Oaks Funeral Home. Lavanna passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, in Dallas, Texas.

Lavanna was born on March 21, 1959, to Billy Gibbons and Janie Lou Dowdy Gibbons in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She loved helping local Veterans at VFW Post 8560 in Sulphur Springs, Texas, above all she adored spending time with her family especially her grandchildren as well as the dogs.

She is survived by her sons, Gary Christie of Gilmer, Texas and Jeremy Christie of South Carolina; sisters, Connie Fisher of Yantis, Texas and Pam Watkins of Reilly Springs, Texas, and Cindy Rhoads; grandchildren, Chandi Durham, Raela McCrory, Garrett Christie, Waylon Christie, Taylor Christie, Jadyn Christie, and Jeremy Christie, Jr. as well as one great-grandchild, Tyler Allen.

Lavanna was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Janie Gibbons, sister, Vickie Partridge, and her brother, Rodney Miller.
