Larry Gene Rowell

Graveside services for Larry Gene Rowell, age 67, of Garland, Texas, will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Emblem Cemetery in Emblem, Texas with Bro. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Larry passed away on March 18, 2025, in Garland, Texas.

He was born to Floyd Rowell and Joyce Lorene (Morrison) Rowell on May 16, 1957, in Dallas, Texas.

As a younger guy, he loved fishing, especially at his grandparent’s pond in Emblem, Texas. Larry worked many years for Texas Instruments before having to go on early disability for diabetic complications. He was a great son, brother, uncle, and cousin and had many friends.

Larry is survived by his brother, James Alan Rowell of Dallas, Texas. His sister, Patricia Ann Rowell Stephens, and husband Michael of The Colony, Texas. Niece Sarah Diane Stephens of Frisco, Texas. Niece Kimberly Renae Stephens Ramirez and husband, Alejandro of Van, Texas. Great nephews, Gabriel Blake Ramirez, and Benjamin Cole Ramirez. Great niece, Evelyn Joyce Ramirez. Along with many cousins and family friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Ronald Glen Rowell.
