Kevin Wade Matheny

Funeral Service for Kevin Wade Matheny, age, 46 of Princeton, TX will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2024 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Lisa Brown officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at North Hopkins Cemetery with Jerold Matheny, Jacob Arrington, J.C. Patrick, Joel Palmer, Joshua Palmer and Chris Matheny serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Matheny, Andre Thompson, Daniel Teo, Jesse Friddle and Tristan Wright.

Kevin Matheny was born on August 31, 1977 in Georgetown, TX to parents, William and Judith Allen (Cage) Matheny. He was known for singing, fishing, class clown and life of the party. He was always a very cheerful, out going and compassionate person. Kevin will be remembered by his sense of humor and making jokes. There was never a dull moment around him.

He is survived by his sisters, Teresa Moore and husband, Christopher, Karen Dalton and husband, Phillip, Dottie Friddle and husband, Jesse, Brandie Golleher and husband, Lee Dobler and Paula Large; nephews, Justin Matheny, Jeremy Patrick, Jerold Matheny, Joshua Palmer, Joel Palmer, Chris Matheny, Jacob Arrington, Chad Leach and Tristan Wright; great-nephews, Jesse Andrus, Brysen Palmer, Kisler Arrington and Isaiah Matheny; nieces, Taylor Osornio, Averie Andrus, Bree Vanginault and Valerie Estrada; great-nieces, Taelyn Arrington, Willow Arrington as well as many other nieces, nephews and friends.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, William Matheny, his mother, Judith Matheny, and his brother, Daniel Matheny.
