Katie Mae Fountain

Katie Mae Fountain, age 65, died on May 3, 2020 at Willowcreek Nursing Home in Mt. Vernon, Texas.  Katie was born on April 25th, 1955 in Mt. Vernon the daughter of Lugene Fountain and Allie Mae Hargraves Fountain.  At an early age she was in state school and her sister, Nellie Mae Kelly, was her guardian and then to the nursing home upon her death.  She was not able to speak or walk but had a lively spirit and pleasant personality.  She is survived by five sisters, Helen Bell, Rozetta Deloney, Ozella Fountain, Mamie Doss, and Ethelyn Robertson, four brothers, T C Fountain, L G Fountain, Paul Fountain, and Perry Dunlap, Jr., along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her mother, father and several brothers and sisters.  Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home. www.westoaksfuneralhome.com
