Julie Duckworth, age 67 of Rowlett formally of Sulphur Springs passed away on October 6, 2025, in Sachse, Texas.
She was a wonderful woman that worked in many different professions within her lifetime. She worked as a waitress, a prison guard, a dispatcher and a secretary for Ballard Milk Company, a medication aide, and a certified nurse aide. She also held a paralegal degree but her most important role was a being a Mom and a Nay Nay. She was always there to listen and provide the best advice she could. She loved to be around friends and family.
Some of the things that she liked to do were playing bingo as well as being ready to play a good game of rummy, drinking her coffee while watching the birds and squirrels outside, taking care of many plants that she loved to collect, and in recent years, doing diamond dots and watching her favorite shows on TV such as NCIS and Crocodile Hunters.
She was proceeded in death by her parents (Mary Francis Thompson Eads and Herman Lee Eads), her paternal grandparents (Delia Pearl Eads and Hershel Thomas Eads), her maternal grandparents (Sudie Lee Thompson and Elbert Leroy Thompson), as well as many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by her three children (Victoria Jackson Malone of Rowlett, TX, Christi Sanders Remington, and husband Randy of Mead, OK, John Sanders and wife Rana of Millerton, OK) nine grandchildren (Jashlee Harrington, Haidyn Malone, Morgan Ersch, Maggie Dastous, Mason Dastous, Ryleigh Sanders, LaKota Knight, Logyn Knight, and MaKalyn Knight). She’s also survived by many of her adopted children she accumulated over the years.
She is truly loved and will be missed tremendously by so many. We were lucky to have her with us for as long as we did but now, she watches over us from above.
Celebration of Life for Julie Duckworth will be held at Buford Park Pavilion on March 14, 2026, from 2:00PM- 4:00PM.
