Funeral Service for Joe Dale Weatherly will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at West Oaks Funeral Home with David Burns officiating and Bill Bessonett as eulogist. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. Joe passed away on November 23, 2024, in Tyler, Texas.
Joe Dale Weatherly was born on March 18, 1939, in Point, Texas to Richard Gay Weatherly and Ida Evelyn Wheeles Weatherly. He met and married Peggie Ann Latta after meeting in a cotton patch in Campbell, Texas and later they both welcomed their first and only child on his birthday in 1971, Jenny Ann. He retired from CO-OP in Sulphur Springs after many years.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and his brothers, RG Weatherly, Dan Weatherly, and Bud Weatherly.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Peggie Weatherly, their daughter, Jenny Arledge, his grandchildren whom he nicknamed each one, Jayden (Bill), Jaycie (Abigail) , Jessica (Tink) and her husband, Brian L. Reddin and his great-grandchildren Joshua (Cowboy) and Austin (Peedink).
