Jean (Baucum) Vititow

Funeral services for Jean Baucum Vititow, age 81, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Lake Highlands Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Ray Vititow and Bro. Perry Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery with Chuck Baucum, Robert Vititow, Larry Jay Temples, Chuck Vititow, Michael Vititow, and Cash Vititow serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2023, at West Oaks Funeral Home. Jean passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was born on July 27, 1941, in Delhi, Louisiana to Burnice and Jessie Hendrix Baucum. She married Jerry Vititow on April 20, 1961, in Sulphur Springs. She was a member of Lake Highlands Baptist Church. She spent her life helping Jerry with the trucking business. She also enjoyed time with her grandchildren and children. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, antique shopping, playing with her grandchildren, and reading. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Austin and husband Stanley of Ringling, OK; her grandchildren, Jennifer Ward and husband Greg, Ashley Gowin and husband Michael, Adrianne Gentry, Justin Vititow, and Tamara Sandoval and husband Jesus; great-grandchildren, Emma, Londyn, Hannah, Arvel, Tinley, Olivia, Eli, Armani, and Caelum. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerry, son, Jerry Wayne Vititow, Jr., and brothers, Douglas Baucum and Marion Baucum.
