Janie Lou Manning

Funeral Service for Janie Lou Manning, age 84, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at West Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Durig officiating. Trent Watkins, Dale Watkins, Garrett Christie, Dakota Watkins, Brandon White, and Brody Watkins will be serving as pallbearers. There will be a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at West Oaks Funeral Home. Janie passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024, in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

Janie was born on October 19, 1939, to D.B. and Ruby Dowdy in Hopkins County, Texas. She was a supervisor for Jordan Health Services for many years before she retired. Janie was a caregiver and enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling and adored spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Connie Fisher, Pam Watkins and her husband, Dale, Lavanna Eppars, Cindy Rhoads and her husband, Mike; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Janie was preceded in death husband, Earl Manning; her first husband, CJ Thompson; father, D.B Dowdy; mother, Iline Wood; sister, Delola Stevens; brother, Billy Dowdy; daughter, Vickie Partridge; son, Rodney Miller and wife Donna and their daughter Amber Miller; son-in-law, Teddy Fisher; grandchild, Lynn Fisher; great-grandchild, Montana Fisher.
