James Ross Baker

James Ross Baker, Jr. age 84 of Sulphur Springs passed away at his residence on Saturday, March 14, 2020.  James was born on December 29, 1935 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of James Ross Baker, Sr. and Rose Schimp Baker. James retired from the United States Marines Corps and also retired as a mail carrier for the United States postal service.  James is survived by his son, James R. Baker III and his wife Danica of Sulphur Springs, brother, Robert Baker of Tucson, Arizona, sister, Leola Baker of Wisconsin, and special caregiver, Joseph Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Faye Duck Baker, step-son, Joe Stone, step-daughter, Deborah Nabors, brother, Richard Baker, and sister, Barbara Pleisis. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2020 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville, TN. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens.
