Franklin Shadwell II

A celebration of life for Franklin Shadwell II, 83, of Yantis, TX will he held at 2:00 p.m. on July 24, 2021, at First Presbyterian Church in Sulphur Springs, TX. Visitation will follow from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at 1555 County Road 1785, Yantis, TX. Mr. Shadwell passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Carriage House Manor.

Franklin was born on December 5, 1937 in Clinton, MO to Franklin and Roberta (Journey) Shadwell. He married Carolyn Bayer on August 30, 1958 in Nashville, TN. Franklin graduated from the Missouri School of Mines in Rolla, MO as a second lieutenant in the ROTC Corp of Engineers. He worked for several engineering firms in Dallas, TX until he opened his own business building conveyors and dust collection systems.

Franklin is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his children, Susan Tidwell and husband Robert, Kathryn Aragon and husband Jonathan, Phillip Shadwell and wife Kathy; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
