Frances Louise Weaver

Graveside Service for Frances Louise Weaver, age 90, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Greenview Cemetery with Pastor Don Stephens officiating. Bubba Kimmel, Justin Darrow, Lynn Prater, Jared Prater, Chris Anderson, and Chris Lewis will be serving as pallbearers. Jeremy Darrow will be serving as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at West Oaks Funeral Home. Frances passed away on October 15, 2025, surrounded by her family in Winnsboro, Texas.

Frances was born on December 7, 1934, to Cleo Silvester Stephens and Mary Willie Edwards Stephens in Kensing, Texas. She married her first husband John L. Prater, and he preceded her in death on August 15, 1954. Frances married John Green Weaver on September 15, 1956, in Cooper, Texas and he preceded her in death. She enjoyed sewing quilts and making dolls. Frances loved spending time with her family especially all her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Johnny L. Prater and his wife, Becky, and Dwayne Weaver; daughters, Gail Darrow, Sandra Boyd, and Jan Kimmel; one brother, Doyle Stephens; sisters, Loyce Boucher, June Clark, Bena Green, and Carolyn Tome, as well as 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, John L. Prater and John Green Weaver: sister, Melba Woodson;brothers, Donald Gene Stephens, Dale Stephens, and Ernest Stephens.
