Graveside services for Floyd McGary, age 87, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday at Richland Cemetery with Russell Morris officiating and Patsy McGary assisting. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donny McGary, Lonny McGary, Tyrel Anders, Justin Morris, Carrol Joe Anders, Cameron Trey McGary, Will Warnock and Terrell McGary. Honorary pallbearer will be Jacob McGary. Floyd passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital. He was born on December 22, 1936 in Cottonwood, TX, the son of Johnny William McGary and Maggy Laura Copeland McGary. He married Joyce Earlene Edwards on August 11, 1954 in Coahoma, TX. She preceded him in death. Floyd was in the Strategic Air Command in the United States Airforce. Floyd was a dairyman for many years and also the oilfields. He is survived by sons, Donny McGary and wife Debra, Lonny McGary and wife Tammy, daughters, Mary Morris, Penny Morris and husband Russell, sisters, Barbara Long and Belle Edwards, 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren along with very numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents, son Floyd McGary, Jr., brothers, Bob McGary and Loyd McGary, sisters, Syble Parker, Mindy McGary, Faye Weaver, Thelma Edwards and Ludie Vickers.
