Funeral services for Louise Smith, age 93, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 9, 2022 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Luke Wright, Wesley Cox, Brandon Huffines, Phyllis McPherson, William David McPherson and Dreylon Fountain serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 one hour prior to service time at West Oaks Funeral Home. Louise passed away at home on Monday, December 5, 2022 with loving family surrounding her. She was born on December 13, 1928 in Mabank, TX, the daughter of Ayrie Cecil Wilhite and Grace Dora Wilhite. She is survived by 4 sisters, Lucille, Dama, Betty, and Wanda. She married Huey Lynn Smith on September 1, 1977 in Sulphur Springs. Louise was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She graduated from North Hopkins ISD and attended Draughon Business College. Louise loved to read, do cross stitching, traveling and watching her soap operas. She is survived by her children, Charles Houston Cox and wife Carol, Rickie Glen Cox and wife Garlene, grandchildren Wendy Stucky, Brandy Wright, Liz Lockhart, Crystal Sam, Wesley Cox, Stephanie Hudgens, Shaina Cox, great-grandchildren Deanna Fountain, Carli Aten, Camry Cox, Breanna Fountain, Samantha Stucky, Draylan Fountain, great-great grandchildren, Karmen Criner, Laramie Aten, Sophia Young,Kimber Aten, Quinlee Young, Zion Criner. She is also survived by extended family from her husband’s, Huey, side of the family. In addition to her husband Huey, she was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister, great-grandson, Brayden Withrow, and great-great granddaughter, Raylyn Fountain.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to INAD Foundation at INADCure Foundation.
