Emily Murray Herschler

Funeral services for Emily Murray Herschler, age 72, of Dike will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 19, 2024 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Oscar Aguilar officiating.  There will be no formal visitation.  Emily passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at her home.  She was born on November 2, 1951 in Sulphur Springs the daughter of William G. “Billy” Murray and Elsie Jackson Murray.  She married Paul “Chip” Herschler, Jr and he survives.  Emily graduated from TWU and got her Bachler Degree in Political Science.  Emily was a lover of all animals and she saw the good in everyone she met.   In addition to her husband Chip she is survived by her children, Joel Richard Herschler and wife Megan of Tontitown, AR and Kristen Shelton and husband Brad of Winnsboro, TX, grandchildren, Ethan Herschler and wife Shelby of Bridgeport, TX, Ella Herschler  of Stephenville, TX and Lily Herschler of Arkansas, great-granddaughter Millie Herschler.  Family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Hearts of Life or a charity of your choice.  Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home. www.westoaksfuneralhome.com
