Elmer Dial was born on August 18, 1938, in the North Caney Community to the parentage of Sun Dial and Hazel Jones Dial. The oldest of eleven children. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church.
At an early age, he developed and displayed a great love for horses and dominoes. He was a hard worker and worked/did various jobs such as hauling hay, milking cows, and doing carpentry work. He loved plowing gardens with his mule team (Rat and Jake). Elmer was employed by Cravers, HD Lee and Rockwell International.
He Leaves to cherish his memories, Sons: Charles Yarbrough and Fredrick Finnie (Alena), Daughters: Freddie Alsobrooks, Veronica “Muff” Simpson (Cory) and Elvria Mingo (Nathaniel). Brother: Benny Dial (Yvette), Sisters: Iva Ruth Mackins, La Wanda Rape, Rose Jean Dial, Tomma Dial, and Swaneece Nash (Harold), 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Elmer was proceeded in death by his mother and father, Sons: Christopher Hill and Tommy Manus, Sisters: Cornelius Dial, Beulah Yarbrough, Mae Lou Lewis and Beatrice Harris.
