Funeral services for Donald Paul Anderson, age 86, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 24, 2021, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with President Allan Richmond officiating. Interment will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. There will be no formal visitation. Donald passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Sunny Springs Nursing and Rehab. He was born on October 8, 1934, in Seminole, OK, the son of Arthur and Doris O’dell Harding Anderson. He served as Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force for over 20 years and later worked as a supervisor for the Federal Reserve Bank. He married Shirley Lee Carter in 1953 and she preceded him in death on September 6, 1969. He later married Natalie Herring in 1995 and she preceded him in death on May 10, 2019. He is survived by sons, Bobby Don Anderson and wife Terre of Florence, TX, Brent Paul Anderson of McCordsville, IN, daughters, Branda Kay Lewis of Sulphur Springs, Bridget Estelle Schelde of Caddo Mills, step-son, Oran Boyett and wife Jeanine of Sulphur Springs, eight grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his wives, he was also preceded in death by his parents, son, Billy Dean Anderson, brothers, Bob Anderson, Alvin Anderson, and sister, Jean Allen.
