Graveside services for Dona J. Edwards, age 80, of Brashear, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 10, 2021, at Greenview Cemetery with Bro. Wayne Darty officiating. Pallbearers will be Cody Scallions, Matt Mitchell, Joey Dillard, Kamren Hall, Ross Edwards, Rocky Edwards, and Clayton Carpenter. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021, at West Oaks Funeral Home. Dona passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Christus Mother Frances Hospital. She was born on November 2, 1941, in Dallas, TX, the daughter of Jimmie T. Cole Sr. and Carrie Mae Forsythe Cole. She married Doyle Wayne Edwards on July 24, 1959, in Dallas, TX. He preceded her in death on November 25, 2005. Dona owned and operated a retail craft business for many years. She is survived by sons, Steve Wayne Edwards and wife Kathy of Garland, Rusty Scott Edwards and wife Angelia of Sumner, daughter, Shannon Leigh Mitchell of Brashear, brother, Jimmie Cole and wife Janice of Dallas, grandchildren, Ross Edwards and wife Brandy, Rocky Edwards and wife Jennifer, Samantha Hernandez and husband Noah, Jenny Dillard and husband Joe, Presley Edwards, Melody Edwards, Harmony Hall and husband Kamren, Matt Mitchell and wife Cessie, Brandi Scallions and husband Cody, and great-grandchildren, Kadence, Harlie, and Kenzie Edwards, Alana, Addie, and Dylan Edwards, Rossalynn, Xonya, and McKenzie Hernandez, Avery and Joey Dillard, Layne and Landry Mitchell, and Clayton, Kirbi, and Sutton Scallions.
