Funeral services for Dell Lewis, age 74, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Perry Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., half hour before service time Tuesday, December 28, 2021. Mrs. Lewis passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Carriage House Manor. Dell was born March 16, 1947 in Sulphur Springs to Ray and Foy Bell Alford. She married Jerry Lewis on January 10, 1970 in Sulphur Springs, and he survives. Dell worked for the City of Sulphur Springs in accounts and payroll for 47 years, 15 years part time and 32 years full time. She was a member of Lake Highlands Baptist Church. In addition to her husband Jerry, she is survived by her sisters, Helen Fisher of Brashear, and Betty Davis of Greenville. In lieu of flowers her family requests for donations to be made in Dell’s name to Lake Highlands Baptist Church, Post Office Box 441, Sulphur Springs, TX 75483.
