Danny William Mitchell

Memorial Service for Danny William Mitchell will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at West Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. David Burns and Bro. Donnie Powers officiating. Danny passed away on March 31, 2025, in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

Danny was born on January 26, 1954, to Otis and Hazel Mitchell in Clarksville, Texas. He was a Rancher, Carpenter, Ferrier, Singer, Songwriter, Storyteller, and Guitar Player. He ministered the music for 4 C’s Cowboy Church, Caney Creek Cowboy Church, Round Em up Cowboy Church, Cross Spurs Cowboy Church, and Crimson River Cowboy Church. He visited many other churches to give his testimony, played specials, concerts, and revivals. He also was a Ranch Manager at “Hog Hunting Texas”. He loved to Hunt and Fish but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He just recently became a member of Birthright Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Jarrett Mitchell and his wife, Julie; daughters, Danielle Williams and her husband, Cody, and Kallie Jo Mitchell; brothers, Alton Mitchell and his wife, Glenda, and Larry Mitchell and his wife, Dianna; sister, Linda Mitchell Raines and her husband, Ted, and his grandchildren, Trinity, Bentley, Mitchell, and Beau.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Otis, and Hazel Hall Mitchell.
