Funeral Services for Charles Floyd Perry will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025, at St. Luke’s Baptist Church with Pastor Troy L. Young officiating.
Charles Floyd Perry, age 72, was born to the parentage of Claude Perry Jr. and Johnnie Mae Moore Petty on June 20, 1953, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Charles passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, at his residence.
Charles accepted Christ at an early age. He received his formal education through the Sulphur Springs Independent School District. Upon leaving high school, he went straight into the workforce and married Cynthia Kajuana Clayton on July 23, 1971. To this union three children were born.
Charles retired from Flowserve Corporation in 2014 after many years of service. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, friends, and the outdoors. He liked walking and watching sports and westerns.
Charles is survived by his children: Christopher (Gwen) Perry, Damion (Catisha) Perry and daughter, Ericka (Gregory) Debase, nine grandchildren, Jaylon (Linzi) Perry, Tradarion Perry, Aleya Biggers, Donovan Perry, MaKenzie Adams, Jayce Pannell, Shakoja, Desiray, and Dee, six great-grandchildren, Lexi Perry, Messiah Perry, Julian Brown, Noah Brown, Nalah Brown, and Lyrik, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Perry, his parents, Claude and Johnnie Mae Perry, sisters, Debra Smith, Frances Collins, niece, Vira Ann Hall, in-laws, Elgie and Cassie Clayton, and sister-in-law, Cassie Clayton Edwards.
