Cecilia Diane Loftis Frampton was born in Dallas, Texas July 27,1945 to Ripley Scott Loftis and Billie Loraine Cook Loftis. She attended school in Bonham, Texas and Mt. Vernon, Texas where she graduated in 1963. She was active in high school participating in National Honor Society, Band, and co-editing the school yearbook.
She was a good student, graduating as class valedictorian and enjoyed wonderful friendships and life in a small town.
Diane attended The University of Texas in Austin, graduating with honors and marching with the Longhorn band. She was an award-winning French horn player.
Diane worked for Taylor Publishing Company from home while her children were young and then for Hewlett Packard Company where she excelled in customer service including training and coaching sales representatives. Beginning in 2005 she enjoyed many successful years as an administrator with Edward Jones Investments.
Diane was a voracious reader, an excellent cook and was always smartly dressed. She never met a crossword puzzle that she couldn’t master.
Diane was married to John Cochran Frampton in 1965 and they had two children, Patricia Elizabeth (Tricia) and David Scott (David) which they raised together in Irving and Richardson, Texas. After a divorce, Diane found love and companionship with her partner of many years, Jerry Dan Daniel. Jerry preceded her in death October 24, 2021.
During Diane’s last year of life, she lived in Sulphur Springs, Texas near her sister, Cynthia and was cared for by her sisters, Cynthia, Debby, and Kathy. She died at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Diane is survived by her daughter, Patricia Elizabeth Houck and husband, Bob Houck of League City, Texas; her son David Scott Frampton and wife, Gaja, and grandchildren Alexander Michael (Alex) Frampton, Evan Jonathan (Evan)Frampton, and Kyra Lilijana (Kyra) Frampton of Portola Valley, California.
She is survived by sisters Cynthia Loftis and John Bradberry of Sulphur Springs, Texas; Debby Loftis Helton and husband Wayne Helton of San Antonio, Texas; and Kathy Loftis Riley and husband Jay Riley of Lucas, Texas.
She will be missed by her niece Rachel Loraine Underwood Elliott (Lorie) and husband Alvin of Rockwall, Texas and great niece Zoe Young and great nephew Noah Young. Also missing her are nephew Marine SgtMaj James William Underwood III (JW) and wife Angela of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and children Breanna and Killian.
She will be missed as well by her aunt Elsie Lucille (Cille)Cook Sedgwick of Lubbock, Texas and her cousins Lisa, Gena, Lyla, and Christi, and other extended family and friends.
Diane requested no memorial service and gifted her body for medical research to improve and save lives. A memorial headstone will be placed in the family plot in IOOF Cemetery in Farmersville, Texas
