Bobbie Ann Roland was born on May 18, 1940 to the parentage of James Roland and Irene Jones Roland. She departed this life on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Rock Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving and devoted family.
Bobbie was a member of Arbala Road Church of Christ and later united with MLK Church of Christ and remained a faithful member until her health began to fail. She enjoyed attending Sunday School, the Ladies Bible Class and other ministries of the church.
She graduated from Douglas High School in Sulphur Springs and went on to attend Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, TX.
She was employed by Hopkins County Memorial Hospital for over 30 years.
Bobbie was a devoted wife, daughter, Mother, sister, and a Proud Grandmother who loved her grandchildren very deeply.
Bobbie was united in marriage to Jeff Spivey Sr and to their union 5 children were born. She later married Charles Askew Sr and to this union 3 children were born. We were blessed with a blended family of 8 siblings.
She leaves to cherish her memories, Sons: Sherby Spivey(Glenda) of Cedar Park, TX; Chris Spivey (Ann), Keith Spivey (Brenda) and Robert Askew all of Sulphur Springs, Special Son: Jeff Spivey of Houston, Tx; Daughter: Sequita Mosley(Anthony) of Sulphur Springs, Tx; 25 Grandchildren; 27 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild; Aunts: Bobbie Roland, Verrera Roland and a host of cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by: Husband: Charles C. Askew Sr; Parents: James and Irene Roland; Daughter and Son-in-Law: Victoria and Yaw Owusu, Sons: Ricky Spivey and Charles C. Askew Jr, Brother: Walter Roland and 9 Uncles and 3 Aunts
