Funeral services for Betty Ruth Lindsey, age 90, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 16, 2025, at West Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Erwin officiating. Abigail Alexander, Elisabeth Stutzman, Katelyn Alexander, Brennan Lollar, Andrew Alexander, and Caleb Stutzman will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Zane Lollar, Arie Lollar, Joshua Alexander, Scarlett Plunk, and Witten Plunk Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Scurry, TX. She passed away on January 1, 2025, in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Betty was born on April 14, 1934, in Dallas, Texas to Barney Eugene McKee and Mollie Lee Anna McKee. She married Roy Fay Lindsey on February 14, 1955, in Lancaster, Texas he preceded her in death on October 17, 2020. Together they owned House of Realty in Balch Springs. Betty Loved flower gardening, her family, and above all else her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Molly Plunk, raised along with her children, Frank McKee, Jonnie McKee, and Tammi Anstead; grandchildren: Nicholas Plunk and his wife Rachel, Rebecca Alexander and her husband, Daniel, Sarah Plunk, and Lindsey Lollar and her husband, Ronnie; great-grandchildren, Abigail Alexander, Elisabeth Stutzman and her husband, Caleb, Katelyn Alexander, Andrew Alexander, Joshua Alexander, Brennan Lollar, Zane Lollar, Arie Lollar, Scarlett Plunk, Witten Plunk and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
Betty was preceded in death, by her parents, her loving husband Roy Lindsey, one daughter, Juiquitta Hilton and granddaughter, Sue Ellen Hilton, two brothers, Silas McKee and Harold McKee, and three sisters, Mural Mitchell, Laverne Mitchell, and Jewel McNew.
