Barbara Lee Cook

Barbara Lee Cook, age 84, of Saltillo, TX,  passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024.  Barbara was born on July 24, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Herman Edward Garey and Thelma Irene Lawhon Gary.  She married Raymond Lloyd Cook on July 5, 1957 in Corpus Christi, Texas.  Barbara worked as a public school secretary  for Garland ISD and as a church secretary for Calvary Baptist Church.  Barbara is survived by her children, David Lloyd Cook and wife Mitzi of Quitman, Connie Diane Childers and husband Lynn of Burleson, Donna Marshall and husband Ron of Winnsboro and Doug Cook and wife Misti of Poetry, sisters, Janice Arnold of Sulphur Springs and Bonnie Bartlett and husband Randy of Wylie, 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  The family will have a family led memorial service at a later date.  She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. 

There will be a Memorial Service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Myrtle Springs Baptist Church in Quitman, Texas on September 2, 2024.
