Audrey "Sonny" Wilemon

Audrey (Sonny) Wilemon, age, 88, of Sulphur Springs, TX was born in Hopkins County, TX on August 8, 1935 to Bill and Sybil (Gregory) Wilemon. He passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother, Opal Wilemon, his sister, Virginia (Sissy) Hanson, his son, William (Willie) Wilemon, and his former wife, Ellen Jones. He is survived by his son, Milton Wilemon, sister, Vickie Crouch, and brother , Kenny Wilemon, children of Mary Jane Lisk (and his stepchildren) Donald Joe, Tina, Mary, and Donna, grandchildren, Charishamalitz, Jennifer Leter and numerous cousins and other relatives in the Gregory and Wilemon families in this area.

A special thanks to all of the staff at Carriage House Manor: The Baxley, Tanton, and Campbell families, and M.C. Coordinator Beth Mills, Carriage House provided a home and family for Sonny for 19 years.

Sonny grew up in Sulphur Springs and in Greenville, Texas where he attended Greenville High School. He worked at B.W. Gregory auto sales, City of Sulphur Springs, and was a long time employee of Rockwell Valves.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
