Ashley Suzanne McGill. our sweet mama made her heavenly return Sunday, November 25, 2025. After decades, she has reunited not only with Jesus, but with her mama and brother, Jason. We are truly devastated, but we are so grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from our family, friends, and our community. While we say goodbye now, we will all be reunited in heaven someday again.
Ashley was born on February 6, 1978, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, to Ronald and Marny (Fite) Green-making her the baby of the family (after Laura and Jason). She was never too far away from her mama or her brother, and while they may have fought like cats and dogs growing up, the pair soon became the best of friends in their teenage years. Tragedy brought them together, separated them, and has now reunited them again. While we have grieved, this has been the most comforting part of it all.
Ashley lived her life being the best daughter, sister, mom, aunt, and friend. She loved her kids all so very much, and there were always extra kids around to love on. She was there any time you needed her. We know how much she loved us because she told us multiple times daily. She made sure to tell us we were her greatest accomplishment in this life. We were her babies, and we always would be.
Ashley was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary and Monroe Fite & Mary and Lloyd Raymond Green; her mother, Marny (Fite) Green; her brother, Jason Green; her uncle, Vance Fite; and her first husband, Sse ‘Hoss’ McGill. She is survived by her father, Ronald Green; her sister, Laura Green (Patriquin) & (Stacey); uncle, Jeff Fite (Diane), niece and nephew, Kiersten Patriquin (Broc) & Seth Patriquin (Amanda), her children, Mason, Branson & Lorena, Walker, Caden, and Colton McGill (Miracle Miller), and countless friends and extended family members.
