Arthur Fredrick Bloomingdale

Arthur Fredrick Bloomingdale passed away on May 28, 2025, at his home in Greenville, Texas surrounded by his loved ones. Arthur was born on July 3, 1951, to James and Jean Bloomingdale in San Antonio, Texas. He served in the Air Force from 1971 to 1991 as an Aircraft structural mechanic and painter. After the military he continued his work for many years painting and stripping planes at L-3 before retiring. After retiring Arthur enjoyed watching football especially his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys, fishing during the summer, working on vehicles and spending time with his family. He adored spending time with his grandchildren teaching them about life.

A family lead graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Aiguier Cemetery with Christopher Heslep officiating.

Arthur is survived by his sons, Jimm Bloomingdale and wife, Barbara, Arthur Bloomingdale and Jack Bloomingdale and wife, Stephanie and daughter, Lisa Bloomingdale, grandchildren, Taylor Rushing, Kristopher Herwig, Cody Bloomingdale, Jason Mabe, Bailee Bloomingdale, Sean Mabe, Kandace Bloomingdale, Willow Mabe, Benjamin Bloomingdale, Bryson Bloomingdale, Elizabeth Bloomingdale, as well as numerous brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, James Bloomingdale and Jean Bloomingdale, sister, Kathrine Bloomingdale and the love of his life, Susie Vaden Bloomingdale.
