Funeral Services for Anna Beth Smith will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at West Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Mac Macaluso, Robert Looney, Kevin O’Reilly, Shane Woods, Jared Looney, and Kameron Woods. Billy Wayne Mobley will be serving as Honorary Pallbearer. Interment will follow the service at Ridgeway Cemetery. Beth passed away on September 2, 2024, in Plano, Texas.

Beth was born on October 1, 1935, to W.C. “Cotton” and Opal Herman in Hopkins County, Texas. She married Ervin Earl Smith on June 26, 1953. She grew up on the farm with horses, cattle, cotton harvesting, gardening – creating lifelong friends and family memories. The family moved from Sulphur Springs to Dallas where she attended Pleasant Grove High School.  She and Ervin returned to Sulphur Springs and built a home on the family’s property, and they absolutely loved living in Sulphur Springs. She adored spending time with her family, especially all her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Kirk Smith and his wife, Karen; daughter, Sylvia Smith and Rick Miller; her grandchildren, Mac Macaluso, Kevin O’Reilly, Shannon Looney, Tabatha Smith, Keith Smith Jr., Josh Smith, Jay Smith and Kristi Smith and 19 great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Beth was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ervin Smith; her parents Cotton and Opal Herman; grandparents Tommie and Carl Herman, a son, Keith William Smith; her sister, Jane Thompson and grandson, Matthew Kirk Smith.
