Angela Michell "MeMe" Gowin

   Angela Michell Gowin, passed away in Sulphur Springs on Thursday. June 18, 2026. She was born in Dallas County, Texas on June 9, 1961 to Arvel Loyed and Emmie Joy Boney.  Angela, lovingly known as “MeMe,” cherished her family above all else. She loved being a mother and grandmother, and the time she spent with her children and grandchildren brought her the greatest joy. She will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the love she shared with those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

   Angela graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, an accomplishment she was very proud of. She then devoted more than 30 years to her one and only employer, APW, where she built a remarkable career before retiring. Her dedication, loyalty, and hard work were an inspiration to those who knew her.

   She is survived by her son Michael Eugene Gowin; daughter, Amber Michell Gowin; grandchildren, Arvel Gowin, Hannah Bledsoe, Emma Hall, Gracie Gowin, Montana Gowin and Jessie Goble; and her brother, Tim Boney. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Phil Boney.

   Serving as pallbearers will be: Michael Gowin, Arvel Gowin, Tim Boney, Teddy Jennings, Larry Nelson, and Colin Gowin.

  Graveside Service for Angela Gowin will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Greenview Cemetery. Angela passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
