Funeral Services for Judy McGlamery, age 71, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2010 in the chapel at West Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Suche officiating. Burial will be in Como Cemetery with Dana Thorpe, Mark Friddle, Daryl Watkins, Jimmy De Odell, Chris Follis, and Chris Baxter serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Mac Petty, Ronnie Gunn, B.C. Green, and Dale Miller. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2010 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mrs. McGlamery passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010, at UT Health Center in Tyler, TX. She was born on December 16, 1938 to Melvin Wright and Lida May Wiles in Gary, IN. She married William Warren "Bill" McGlamery on November 19, 1965 in como. He preceded her in death in January of 2009. Mrs. McGlamery worked alongside her husband in the dairy business for 27 years, owned and operated Bill's Steak and Seafood for 19 years, worked for over 20 years as a beautician and was always a housewife and homemaker. She loved her grandkids. Mrs. McGlamery was a member of Lake Highlands Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to the lake and she also liked reading real life stories. She will be remembered most of all as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Johnny McGlamery. She is survived by two sons, Eddie McGlamery and wife Lorna of Albuquerque, NM and David McGlamery of Sulphur Springs, TX; brother-in-law Ron McGlamery and wife Mary of San Angelo, TX; two sisters Donna Jenkins and Debbie Shepler both of Sullivan, IN; grandchildren Maci and Maggie McGlamery of Albuquerque, NM, Shelby McGlamery of Como and Chesley McGlamery of Sulphur Springs, TX.
