Funeral services for Truby Hartzell Hamm Rice, 82, of Sulphur
Springs will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at West Oaks
Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Lewis officiating.
Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park with Thomas Hamm, Billy
Hamm, Keith Sims, John-Eric Henry, Chad Henry and Clovis Harbor
serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 23, at the funeral home. Mrs. Rice passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010, in Metarie, La. Truby Hartzell Hamm Rice was born March 31, 1928, in Alba, the daughter of Thomas Elvis and Jimmie Lynn Leach Hamm. She married Bobby Edward Rice on Aug. 16, 1952, in Abilene. He
preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Sims of Metarie, La.; one aunt, Lila Hamm Pope of Alba; one sister-in-law, Eula J. Hamm Kearnes of Garland; five nieces, Donna Hamm Harbor, Cynthia Hamm Sandoval, Marjorie Hamm Gilbreth, Linda Brockman and Ann Byrd; four nephews, Thomas Hamm, Billy Hamm, Jimmy Hamm and James Hamm; nine great-nieces, Lacey Hamm Walker, Kaci Hamm, Aubrey Harbor Blodgett, Melanie Baier, Erin Sandoval, Emily Sandoval, Suzanna Brockman, Gayla
Wienhert and Kathy Brockman; nine great-nephews, David Hamm, Keith
Hamm, Cody Hamm, Toby Hamm, John-Eric Henry, Chad Henry, Russell
Brockman, Douglas Brockman and Micheal Searcy; and numerous great-
great nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Donald Wayne Hamm and T.J. Hamm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sulphur Springs
